Spudnik is a fictional baked potato restaurant based on the 1960s space race between the United States and the Soviet Union: it took inspiration from the martial and political aspects of the era, and emphasized industrial cues to indicate the technological advances of space travel. The menu is reminiscent of a clipboard holding top secret government documents, and is meant to be an educational guide to the first people and animals to travel through space. Other packaging included a bag and two takeout containers, one for the baked potato and one for the drink.
